Please read these Terms of Use carefully before accessing or using the website located at www.parkin.ca, including all subdomains and associated digital properties (collectively, the “Site”). By accessing or using the Site, you (“User” or “you”) agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree, you must discontinue use of the Site.
These Terms govern your use of the Site and all information, materials, features, and services made available through the Site (“Services”).
- ABOUT PARKIN ARCHITECTS AND THE SITE
Parkin Architects Limited (“Parkin”) is an employee-owned Canadian architectural practice with operations in Ontario and British Columbia. The Site provides information about our services, projects, insights, firm values, and career opportunities.
- ACCESS TO AND USE OF THE SITE
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Site for personal, non-commercial use. Parkin may modify or discontinue parts of the Site without notice. You may not use bots, scrapers, malware, or attempts to breach security.
- OWNERSHIP OF CONTENT
All project images, renderings, text, logos, graphics, and media (“Content”) are owned by Parkin or licensed to Parkin. You may not reproduce or distribute Content without permission.
- USER CONTENT
If you submit information through web forms, uploads, or communications, you warrant that the content is lawful and non-malicious. You grant Parkin a license to use submitted content for the intended purpose.
- CAREERS PAGE SUBMISSIONS & PERSONAL INFORMATION
By submitting a résumé or application, you consent to Parkin collecting, using, storing, and retaining your personal information for recruitment purposes under PIPA and PIPEDA. Parkin may use third-party ATS platforms that uphold equivalent privacy safeguards. Submission does not guarantee employment. Applicants may request correction or deletion of their information.
- PRIVACY & DATA PROTECTION
Parkin complies with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA – BC). Collection, use, disclosure, and retention of personal information follow the practices in the Parkin Privacy Policy.
- THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES
Links to third-party websites do not imply endorsement. Parkin is not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
- WARRANTY DISCLAIMER
THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND.
- LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Parkin is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site.
- INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to indemnify Parkin for losses arising from your misuse of the Site or violation of these Terms.
- TERMINATION
Parkin may terminate access to the Site without notice. Sections on liability, privacy, ownership, and indemnity survive termination.
- GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and applicable Canadian privacy legislation.
